Over time, as we and our homes age, small problems begin to add up and become serious hazards. For seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing life’s hardships, a few repairs can mean the difference between staying at ease in their homes or facing unsafe conditions.
At St. Joseph’ s Helpers, our mission is to ensure that our neighbors live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes, but we can’t do it without volunteers like you. Whether you’re handy with tools, great with people, or organized behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.
The right role can be found for any person with a desire and heart to serve. All who share a commitment to our mission are welcome to join us in our work regardless of background, ethnicity, age, faith, or gender.

Volunteers are responsible for the quality of their work, their conduct, and for meeting their commitment to SJH and the people we serve.
All volunteers are required to complete an orientation, and turn in required documents prior to beginning their volunteer experience.
For the protection of the people we serve and yourself, St. Joseph’s Helpers is insured, so that you can have peace of mind when you are volunteering at a home or in our office. We work to ensure that a home is a safe dwelling for the occupants. Residents and volunteers work together in harmony, in an atmosphere of trust and respect for each other, to achieve this goal.
