We help families and individuals in need, especially the elderly, veterans and people with disabilities, stay in their own homes and remain independent. We currently serve Southeastern Michigan communities and Central Kentucky, to keep homes safe and secure.
For the protection of both our volunteers and residents, St. Joseph’s Helpers is insured, and all of our volunteers undergo a thorough background check.
St. Joseph’s Helpers is an organization, founded on Christian values, made up of men and women who volunteer their time and talents to help those in need to feel safe and secure in their homes.
Before becoming the Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Helpers, Rayna lived in a small town outside of Chicago, where she gained extensive experience in the senior care field. Her roles included Social Service Director and Assistant Executive Director, which provided her with a deep understanding of the needs of both clients and staff.
Rayna is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the vibrant community at St. Joseph’s Helpers. She finds fulfillment in working alongside both the individuals being served and the volunteers who dedicate their time and care.
Her guiding philosophy is simple: “If you focus on the good, the good becomes better.”
Julie is a proud graduate of E.M.U. and has worked in the health, criminal justice & teaching fields before becoming a social worker who specializes in senior citizens, disabled individuals and Veterans.
As a Certified Information & Resource Specialist, she can also connect our clients to any social services that they may need in addition to what SJ Helpers provides them. You may also know her thru her website "Julie's List" (https://julieslist.homestead.com).
